Living in Camarillo has an urban feel, which can be generally more fast paced than the surrounding suburban areas but not as fast paced as more extremely packed cities.

The city of Camarillo boasts a plethora of ways to spend time outdoors however the most notable place is Camarillo Grove Park. Here you can spend your time exploring Camarillo wildlife and surrounding flora. Families can also enjoy the Pleasant Valley Botanical gardens, weekly farmer's markets, tour the McGrath Family Farms, and hike the Old Boney Trails.

Camarillo is also home to the Premium Outlet mall where you can spend an afternoon with friends shopping. Some of the 160 featured retailers include Kate Spade New York, Michael Kors, Adidas, The North Face, Vans Outlet, lululemon, Athletica, and many more.
